SummitRoom lets you run real courses on your treadmill. This page explains what we collect, why, who it’s shared with, and how to delete it. It applies to the website at summitroom.app and the SummitRoom Android app, which opens the same site.
What we collect
- Your account. Your name and email address. If you sign up with a password, we store only a secure hash of it. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google.
- Your runs. Each run’s date, time, distance, speed, incline, elevation, estimated calories and the course you ran. If you connect a heart-rate monitor, your heart rate during the run. Results of fitness tests you take, like the ramp test and 5K benchmark.
- Your profile and settings. Things you enter to make the app work for you, such as your body weight (used to estimate calories and fitness), units, goals and treadmill settings.
- Training health check. Before you start Training sessions, we ask you to accept a waiver and answer a short health questionnaire. We keep your answers, when you accepted, and the IP address and browser you accepted from.
- How the app is used. Events such as starting or finishing a run, with your browser type, so we can see what works and fix what doesn’t. Google Analytics and Vercel Web Analytics also measure visits to the site.
- Payments. If you subscribe to Pro, Stripe handles the payment. We never see your card details; we keep only the Stripe customer reference and your plan.
- Strava, if you connect it. The access tokens Strava gives us, so we can post runs you choose to share. When you ask for Strava charts, we read your Strava activities to draw them; we don’t store them.
Your treadmill and heart-rate monitor connect over Bluetooth on your device. The name of the last treadmill you used is remembered on your device so it can reconnect; it isn’t sent to us.
How we use it
- To run the app: show your runs and progress, keep them in sync across your devices, and set your training paces.
- To post to Strava when you ask, and to bill a Pro subscription.
- To support you, and to understand and improve the app.
We don’t sell your data, and we don’t show ads.
Who it’s shared with
Only the services that run SummitRoom, each for the job described:
| Service | What for |
|---|---|
| Vercel | Hosts the site and app, and our database |
| Stripe | Takes payments for Pro |
| Strava | Receives runs you choose to post, if you connect it |
| Sign-in with Google, Google Analytics, and fonts | |
| Mapbox | Map tiles for the courses (your device asks Mapbox for the map area on screen) |
| ElevenLabs | Turns voice-coaching lines into speech |
We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
Cookies and storage
A sign-in cookie keeps you signed in. The app also saves your settings and an in-progress run on your device so nothing is lost if the page closes. Google Analytics sets its own cookies to count visits.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and runs until you delete your account. A run you delete leaves your history and totals but stays with your account, so it can be put back if it was deleted by mistake; deleting your account removes it with everything else. Stripe keeps payment records for as long as the law requires.
Deleting your account
In the app: open Settings → Account → Delete my account.
By email: write to support@summitroom.app from your account’s email address and ask us to delete it.
Deleting your account cancels any Pro subscription, disconnects Strava, and permanently removes your profile, every run, your settings, your usage events and your training health check. It can’t be undone. Payment records held by Stripe are kept as the law requires.
Your choices
You can see and change most of your information in the app. To get a copy of your data, correct something, or ask a question about your privacy, email support@summitroom.app.
Children
SummitRoom isn’t intended for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top, and tell you in the app if the change is significant.
